Why I disappeared & fun surprises coming up.

There’s a good reason I temporarily disappeared from this blog. Several good reasons, actually.

I was busy editing galleys for my next book, FROM THE START.

I travelled up to Little Falls, Minnesota, recently to co-teach a couple writing workshops with my writing friend Gabrielle Meyer at this super cute library.

I started brainstorming, plotting, and slightly nervously writing my fourth book!

AND…I’ve been working on a December surprise. I have to keep it under wraps until this Thursday, December 4, but stay tuned because I think (I hope!) you will like the surprise. I’ve had a blast getting it ready.

Sorry this is just a teaser of a blog post, but I have an excuse for this too. I’m busy playing with the most adorable kid in the history of the world…

We were dancing in the kitchen during this photo, one of my nephew Ollie’s favorite things to do. It doubles as the best workout for your biceps ever.

In addition to the big surprise coming up later this week, I’ve got lots more great stuff planned for the blog this December including a slew of awesome guests, some movie fun and quite a few giveaways, too! See ya around.

Happy December!

    1. Melissa, welcome back! Missed you!

You’re right. Ollie IS adorable! 🙂 And thanks for sharing a photo of that darling library. It reminds me of the one I hibernated in as a teenager growing up in a very small Ozarkian town.

      Looking forward to your surprises!

    2. Gah! That’s the Carnegie Library! You can get just about any book in the world there! (They might not have it, but by hook or crook, they will find it!) I practically grew up within those walls. And though I now live 150 miles away, they keep letting me renew my card, so anytime I visit my parents I can have books waiting for me, especially those that my current library doesn’t have.

This pleases me to no end that you’ve been someplace so dear to my heart!
