Three Little Words + One Great Giveaway!

mastheadYAY it’s the official release day for my free e-novella, Three Little Words. This novella paves the way for my new Walker Family series. I love this story. I really love it…for a lot of reasons, like:

  • Two words: Seth. Walker.
  • There’s a halfway-unintentional inside joke running through it and I’m itching to see if anybody’s going to realize it. (My money’s on my sister Nicole to figure it out first.)
  • There’s a side character who I kinda majorly love. He’s now made his way not only into this novella, but also into both From the Start, which releases next month, and my fourth book which comes out next year.
  • Writing a 27,000-word story is SO much less painstaking than a 95,000-word novel.
  • Ava from Here to Stay finally gets a happy ending!
  • There are two teaser chapters from From the Start at the end.
Here’s what Three Little Words is about:

Three Little Words coverAva Kingsley and Seth Walker might be the most unlikely friends ever. The only thing these two polar opposites have in common is a knack for wordsmithing. Back in college, they were known for their written sparring in the campus newspaper’s popular “He Says/She Says” column.

At a college reunion, they pick up right where they left off. Except this time their squabbling leads to a surprising turn: friendship and a year-long exchange of emails. So when Ava approaches a crossroads in her athletics department career in Minnesota, Seth is quick to offer the open apartment above the restaurant he’s been remodeling in Maple Valley, Iowa.

Ava doesn’t know where her career will lead her next, but she’s starting to suspect she might see Seth as more than a pen pal. Which would be exciting…except for the fact that he only sees her as a friend. As Maple Valley grows on her, Ava wonders if there might be something here for her even though Seth is unavailable. And maybe, just maybe, after all the words the two of them have exchanged over the years, they’ll finally be able to say the three that matter most.

Giveaway Time!

It’s only right to celebrate Three Little Words with a giveaway, don’t you think? Here’s what one lucky person will win:

  • $25 VISA gift card to spend wherever you want. Although, I recommend a great restaurant since one of the story threads in Three Little Words is the opening of a cool restaurant.
  • An early copy of From the Start! I don’t have my author copies of this book just yet, but as soon as I do, a copy is yours.
  • Cute notecards! One of my favorite things about this story is Seth and Ava’s email relationship. I love a good email…but there’s something about handwritten notes too.

    2. My favorite restaurant is a locally-owned mexican restaurant called Fiesta Mexico in our little KY town. It’s authentic, the price is right, and their chimichanga is ohmygoodness delicious!

    3. I’d have to say my favorite restaurant depends on who I’m with. Little coffee shop make great dates with girl friends; Texas Roadhouse with my brother; Olive Garden with my husband and a stop at Casey’s Bakery for some almond patties just for me.

One year our daughter took my husband and I to the same tearoom for Valentine’s Day. We had a double date for a romantic special meal. When this tearoom closed we were so disappointed!!!! We have such special memories spent together there.
