I’m cheating today. This isn’t a real post with any real point. But if you hang on ’til the end, you’re in for a treat. I promise.

*It was my turn to blog at the MBT Ponderers today! That is real blog post with a real point! Check it out here.
*I’m sick. Again. Oh, faithful immune system, why have you turned on me? Only good thing about being sick? The excuse to lay in bed and watch random television shows on my laptop. My newest discovery? BBC’s Lark Rise to Candleford. Some totally cool person has posted every episode on YouTube. It’s such a cute show – gorgeous scenery, enjoyable (if not slightly predictable) storylines and quirky characters. If I can’t have 24, I’ll take BBC period dramas anyday.
*Next week I’m participating in a blog tour for My Book Therapy’s Frasier Contest. I’m posting on Valentine’s Day. Somehow I’m determined to tie in those Sweethearts Conversation Hearts candies. They taste like chalk, but who can say no to candy with such wit as: UR Mine and My Baby. My fave? Be My Icon. Since when did candy hearts turn techie? Anyway, stay tuned for some Frasier love and if you’re a writer, don’t miss this contest opportunity!
*Michael Hyatt, CEO of Thomas Nelson, wrote a really great post the other day about mental focus. I used to have the concentration of a cheetah – don’t know why, but cheetah’s always look focused to me. (Uh, probably ’cause they’re focused on the gazelle they’re chasing for lunch. Hm. Not such a great analogy anymore.) But lately – with facebook and email and books I can’t wait to read and errands to run and cookies to bake (okay, so the last one is more wishful thinking than anything) – I’m finding it harder and harder to focus on any one task. Hyatt’s ten points are great and helpful and doable. Except for, maybe, that one about not consuming too much caffeine…
*And now, the promised finale! I’ve been busy, right, so I missed something amazing recently…the unveiling of a new Old Spice commercial! Don’t ask me how I could’ve missed it (dreaming of those cookies, right!)…but anyhow, it’s been rectified, the commercial has been viewed, my commitment to Old Spice has been renewed. Without further ado, Old Spice’s latest product of genius:
