Ollie-lujah. (Um, that’s not sacrilegious is it?)

One of a writer’s best rules? Show don’t tell. Which is exactly what I’m going to do tonight. Literally. Besides I cannot possibly write anything half as amazing as my adorable miracle of a nephew. So for your viewing pleasure – or maybe just because I can’t stop oohing and ahhing over precious little Ollie – here are a few photos from my recent visit.
(Don’t know Ollie’s story? I wrote about him here and here and here. Oh, and here, too.)
Mom: Look at the camera, Melissa.
Me: But I can’t stop looking at Ollie. He’s the most amazing thing ever.
Ollie: Of course I am! And don’t you love my cute little tufts of hair?

Ollie: See, I can do “so big” in my sleep!

Melissa: dazed smile.
Ollie: raise the roof!

100% precious.

Confession: This photo isn’t from my visit to Kansas City. I totally stole it from Ollie’s caringbridge page

  1. What pure joy and laughter this post brings to my heart Melissa!! I am rejoicing with you that you were able to go to KC, take your mom down, spend some time with that adorable nephew AND that Ollie is doing so well. Reading this has brightened my morning already! Have a great day yourself! Deb Thompson

  2. Hi Deb! I did indeed have a good day today…in part because I now have the most adorable photo of Ollie hanging up over my desk at work…right at eye level. So I get to see him all day long.

Jennie, I told Ollie he has some of the most wonderful women praying for him!

Pat, I agree…his smile melts my heart!
